What services are included with the Store Builder system?  
 
The E-commerce plan offers ecommerce web design and web hosting services allowing businesses of all sizes to easily create and maintain their own web sites. Our web hosting and site building service is only $39.95/mo. and includes an integrated shopping cart and online transaction processing. The system includes all of the tools and services you'll need to create, manage and promote your online business.

Email: You'll also receive secure, fast, and easy to use Web Mail feature which lets you choose and setup up to 100 email addresses that match your business web address, (such as info@yourbusiness.com) In addition to this, all of our clients get POP mail support, which allows you to check your Web Mail account with regular email software instead of through a browser, and to receive email for more than one account in a central location.

Are there any system requirements for using the Store Builder?  
 
No. However, you will need connection and access to the Internet via a web browser, such as Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator. The Store Builder system is "browser-based" which means that you can easily make changes, promote and manage your site online. The system will receive, send messages to your email address, so we do recommend that you have an email account for any customers who may wish to contact you.

  How long will it take me to build a site?  
 
Although you can get up and running instantly upon signup, maintaining your web site is an ongoing effort that will take as much time as you're willing to invest.
Some clients have created their entire sites in 1-6 hours; others have built theirs over the course of several months. Some update their web sites daily; others only seasonally.

Copying your web site over to the Store Builder system will take just a few minutes, however you should plan to spend a little time to make sure the site looks just as you want it.

  Do I need to give you my email address and password in order to sign up?  
 
Yes. We need this information for the following reasons;

All users need an email address in order to "log in" to the Manager's Console in order to work on their web site. Because everyone has a unique email address, it minimizes the possibility of our clients choosing the same one.

We may also need to communicate with you from time to time, for reasons such as; important developments that may affect the way you use the system.

As for the "password", we require that everyone creates a password to use in conjunction with their email address as an additional level of security when logging in to their system. This helps protect you and will keep your web site and personal information safe.

  Do I need to know HTML to use the Store Builder?  
 
No. The system is a fully integrated tool that will build sophisticated web pages, online forms, secure B2B areas, product catalogues, send email newsletters, and more — all without knowing HTML, FTP, design or computer programming. The system has a built in "EZ Text Editor" which is as easy as working on a Microsoft Word document.

If you DO know HTML, you can use your knowledge to create more advanced features within your site - we've designed our service to accommodate a wide range of users, regardless of your level of experience.

  Can I upload images to my web site?  
 
Yes. The system allows you to easily upload and store ".gif", ".jpg" and ".png" image files. In fact, you'll find a fully stocked library of images to use already pre-loaded in your system!

Can the pages I create with the Store Builder be used on another web site?
 
 
Yes and No. You own the content and pictures you upload for your site and are free to save and reuse these with any other web site, however the Store Builder pages themselves and images that are dynamically generated our part of our proprietary service. Therefore, Store Builder pages cannot be used on another web site. Any HTML pages you add to your site can be saved on your hard drive and hosted elsewhere.

Can I use my own domain name?
 
 
Yes, you can use your own web address. When you first set up your site, it will be posted to a temporary web address. This reserves space for your site on our servers and identifies your business within our system. You can transfer the site to your own web address at any time. If you don't already own a domain name, you can register one through us.

We've partnered with Enom, a leading domain name name registrar, for top level domain names (.com, .net, .org, .biz and .edu). The current cost is $15 for one year. There is no additional cost to you to transfer your site.

Can I link my site with another site?
 
 
Yes. The system features a "Link Listing" page where you can easily place links to other sites.

  Can I use FrontPage to create pages for my site?  
 
Yes! You can create web pages or your entire site with Frontpage and then simply copy and paste the HTML code to your site.

Can I add web features like surveys, feedback or contact us forms to my site?
 
 
Yes you can! The system has an advanced, pre-loaded library of both secure and non-secure online web forms that you can customize and place on your pages. Or you can easily upload your own.

How do I make changes to my site?
 
 
It's a snap! You will have access to your personal Control Panel with a login and password. From your control panel you will be able to easily add and make changes to your pages, pictures, and change the overall site design with the click of a mouse.

  How many pages, products, and/or pictures can I have on my web site?  
 
The tools for adding pages, products, or pictures are available from the manager console. You are not restricted to a set number of products, pictures or pages.

  How much storage space do I get with my web site?
 
 
You receive 600MB of storage space for pages and graphics, which well exceeds most business needs. To get an idea of just how much disk space you get; 50 MB is equivalent to about 1000 average web pages! If more space is needed you can upgrade your plan in order to accommodate your specific needs.

How much bandwidth/traffic do I get with my web site?
 
 
You are allowed up to 15gb of bandwidth per month on your site. The daily data transfer allowances are set high enough to accommodate usage without having to exceed the limit.

The system makes it easy! For just $39.95/mo, you get; site building, site hosting, ecommerce catalog, inventory control, email list manager, customer management, automated invoicing, product up-sell tools, search engine submitter, product search, tell a friend, detailed site statistics and more! You'll also get an integrated secure shopping cart, an automatic tax and shipping calculator, product "up selling" tools.

  If I already have an online merchant account, can I use it with my store?  
 
Yes, absolutely! The system is completely integrated with all of the leading Merchant Account/Payment Gateways such as; Cardservice International, LinkPoint, Authorize.net, PayPal, SurePay, 1st National Processing, Total Payment Gateway (TPG).

  How secure is the shopping cart?  
 
The system uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) which is software to protect your transactions, your data, and your customers' data from unauthorized third parties. We use SSL to encrypt all of your and your customers' personal information, including credit card numbers, names, and addresses, as they're transmitted over the Internet. The Store Builder system is part of the Verisign Internet Trust Services.

  How will I keep in contact with the people who visit my site?  
 
There are many ways to stay in touch with your site visitors and customers with our Store Builder system. When a customer purchases items or services from your web site, they'll be asked if they'd like to register for your mailing list and then be added to your customer database automatically. You can also post a newsletter sign-up box, online survey, contact us form, feedback form on any or all of the pages of your web site. Once your visitors have willingly joined your mailing list, you can communicate with them by creating Newsletters or Announcements via the Email List Management tool inside your Control Panel.

Remember, that it is illegal to send mass emails without the recipients' permission and is prohibited by our user agreement.

  How will you help me if I have a problem?  
 
We provide FANATICAL customer service. If you ever have a question about our services, or how to do business on the Web, you can submit a "Trouble Ticket" inside your Manager's Console first. You'll receive immediate support..

You can also use the "Email Us" link inside your Manager's Console, use our Contact Us form, or call us toll free.

  How fast is the Store Builder system?  
 
We have invested thousands of dollars in the hardware that runs our system. We're set up in a high-security facility, with high-speed, redundant links to the Internet. We have three times the capacity we need to service our current client base. We continually expand the hardware and bandwidth as more clients sign up, to ensure that all of our customers' sites are running at peak performance levels.

  How reliable is the Store Builder? Will my site always be available to my customers?  
 
We make sure that our site and our clients' are always available 99.7 percent of the time. There are times that we may make our service temporarily unavailable while we add new features or perform routine maintenance, however, we plan these down times during off-peak hours.

Our service guarantee states that if we don't keep your site up and running (except for scheduled maintenance and outages beyond our control), we'll credit your account a portion of your monthly fees.
